OPERATIONS MANAGER WITH CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WHO IS ALSO LOOKING TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!

The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and its principal accountabilities include managing the day to day activities of the Project Managers and field and technical support personal, mentoring, directing, coaching, training, assisting with troubleshooting difficult situations, overseeing vendor relations, the procurement process, responsible for vehicles, equipment and project related business systems and assuring that ATS customers are pleased with their ATS experience. ATS is also a Job Shop and Control Systems designer and manufactures and integrates its temporary water treatment systems for its own use and for resale.

ATS, a family owned and operated company founded in 2005, specializes in stormwater treatment, groundwater treatment and industrial wastewater treatment. ATS treats water for contractors and project owners so that it can be released back into the environment without polluting and killing endangered species. We operate under water related permits directed by the US and California EPA. ATS is on a strong growth path, growing in 2017/2018 300% over 2016 performance with projects that continue to grow into future years! Your Territory:

Your Northern California sales territory will be either in the California Central Valley, spanning Lake County to San Joaquin County or two separate territories based around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Outside Sales Representative – Job Description:

As an outside sales representative, you will serve in an important leadership role, providing temporary water treatment systems solutions for new construction sites. You will have the knowledge to understand the permitting and water remediation requirements for both stormwater and groundwater.

Your new position will include:

• Building and fostering a network of referrals to find new opportunities for revenue growth.
• Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.
• Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling, lead follow up, and referral selling.
• Obtaining opportunities to make onsite professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s).
• Prepare proforma quotes for bid marketing purposes.
• Create RFP responses requested by potential clients.
• Emphasize service features, advantages and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales documents (Contracts/POs)
• Maintain accurate manual and computerized records, including prospect and customer information, such as notes, conversation, follow-up, sales opportunity updates, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.

A successful outside sales representative is someone who is able to conceptualize water treatment solutions on construction sites. They are comfortable working on and around new construction. Additionally, a successful candidate in this role is someone with grit, entrepreneurial spirit and is flexible with travel and excited to help build a growing company.

Outside Sales Representative – Required Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in sales
• Experience in the construction industry
• Proficient with MS Office and CRM software
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and planning
• Valid driver’s license

Job Summary:

The project manager (PM) participates in the evaluation of potential projects prior to final estimating/bidding. Once a project is awarded, the PM is involved in finalizing the system design and with any special permitting. The PM manages the customer relationship through the start of project mobilization when Operations takes over the implementation. The PM has oversight of project performance and reviews and approves ATS Work Orders for time and material expenditures and assures these items are accounted for and are invoiced. The PM works with Project Accounting to establish project budgets and tracks performance to budget to keep the project on track. The preparation of all change orders is the responsibility of the PM.

The Project Manager performs other tasks as they may be assigned.

The Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager.

Core Responsibilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):

  • Attend Pre-Bid Conferences and Site Walks as required.
  • Review Project Quotes and Estimates as a step in the final approval process.
  • Accept projects through a hand-off meeting with Sales.
  • Study job specs and permits to determine appropriate approach for a project solution.
  • Work with customers to finalize system plans, designs and permitting requirements.
  • Convey project implementation plans to ATS operations.
  • Monitor project schedule, identify and solve problems.
  • Work with Project Accounting to set up Project Budgets.
  • Monitor and track project performance to budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customer project management and supervision personnel.
  • Attend and document outcome of any client/customer/project related meetings.
  • Propose and manage with customer any required change orders.
  • Review and approve project invoices prepared by Project Accounting.
  • Provide feedback to ATS management and to customer as to progress with projects.

Working Conditions

  • Field and Office Location.
  • Ability to travel as needed – company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift items over 50 pounds.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely.

Requirements

  • Four Year Degree in related field with 2 years or more experience assisting or supervising projects of increasing complexity. Or
  • 2 year Degree in related field with 5 years or more experience assisting or supervising projects of increasing complexity.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and divide time between multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational abilities, customer service skills and good communication skills. Must be able to effectively interface with customers and vendors.
  • Must be a team player and help out where needed, yet self-motivated to work independently.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Basic understanding of Hydraulics (moving water), Mechanical Systems, Electricity and Chemistry.
  • Able to perform basic calculations and work with mathematical figures.

WATER TREATMENT TECHNICIAN WITH CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE WHO IS ALSO LOOKING TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!

Are you naturally intuitive and can figure out how to carry out technically challenging tasks? Do you like working in the “field” and not stuck behind a desk all day? Do you have experience in the construction industry? Are you detail oriented and believe in planning out your work with a clear vision of the end point? Do you have experience with pumps, pipes, filters, measuring instruments and water treatment fundamentals? Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree or at a minimum an Associate degree with several years of relevant technical experience? Active Treatment Systems (ATS) sets high standards for its recruit qualifications and has high performance expectations.

The Water Treatment Technician (WTT) reports to the Operations Manager and his/her principal accountabilities are to implement technical solutions in support of temporary water remediation services on construction sites. The WTT Identifies and assembles the required equipment and resources and completes the assigned work scope in accordance with management directives. The WTT operates water treatment systems of varying degrees of complexity, organizes, coordinates and performs field water quality monitoring activities and performs other tasks as may be assigned. The WTT’s are responsible for working as a team, keeping projects on track and meeting deadlines. ATS is also a Job Shop and Control Systems designer and manufactures and integrates temporary water treatment systems for its own use and for resale. The WTT is directly involved in this activity.
